Master Environment: The master copy of the environment maintained by the
command processor.
Modulo: The remainder after an integer division. For example 11 modulo 3
is 2, because when 11 is divided by 3 the remainder is 2.
Multiple Commands: A CMD.EXE feature which allows multiple commands to be
placed on a line, separated by an ampersand [&], or another, user-defined
character.
Multitasking: A capability of some software (and the related hardware)
which allows two or more programs to run apparently simultaneously on the
same computer. Multitasking software for PC compatible systems includes
operating environments like Windows 3, and complete operating systems like
OS/2, Windows 95, and Windows NT.
