Member Posts: 1 Registered: 2010-06-15	Sorry. I was not sure where to put this... I am sure we are aware that we have an open source Windows clone called ReactOS. I was just wondering why we are writing osFree from scratch. Would it not be easy to implement a proper 32-bit OS/2 personality/subsystem for ReactOS? That way we can have the best of both worlds. We work in the dark. We get what we want.

	Well. We discussed this already. Yes. OS/2 Personality can be implemented for native nt. For now still easy to port os2server to NT. But we try to implement general things now. Like correct executable loading and memory allocation. From time point of view not so many differets - use L4 or NTKRNL. But we prefer some of L4 features like real microkernel instead of hybrid microkernel.
